LEED Certification & EcoBuilt Doors

Whether you’re specifying for a LEED v4 project or targeting energy performance goals, we carry products that address the key documentation categories: high R-value, low air infiltration, and recycled-content materials. Overhead Door recycles unused Douglas-fir from mills and fuses it with exterior-grade resins and wax to form each panel, producing a product that resists the splitting, warping, and cracking typical of conventional wood doors, as well as the denting common in steel doors.

DoorView Visualization Software

Our visualization tool, DoorView, lets you insert a range of door options directly into your architectural prints. It’s a practical way to help clients and stakeholders visualize the finished result and make product decisions faster, reducing revision cycles before final selection.

Architect’s Edge: CAD Drawings, BIM Files & Specifications

The Overhead Door corporate resource portal, Architect’s Edge, provides comprehensive technical materials for both commercial and residential projects. It goes well beyond a brochure library. Available resources include downloadable product specifications, CAD drawings in DWG format for use in AutoDesk software, a BIM object library in three-dimensional Revit family files (RFA format) for direct integration into building design models, product brochures, and a custom automated drawing generator for rolling and sectional steel doors.

To use the portal, select your specific residential or commercial application or product, and you’re a few clicks from downloading specifications directly to your desktop. 

AIA-Accredited Lunch & Learn Sessions

AIA members must complete 18 Learning Units from registered AIA/CES providers each year. One hour of qualifying instruction earns one LU, and those credits can count toward state architectural license renewal requirements depending on your jurisdiction. We make it easy to knock out a portion of that requirement without leaving your office.

We offer AIA-accredited training classes eligible for CEU credits, or a straight question-and-answer session if that fits your team better. We come to you.

Residential Configurations

On the residential side, we offer more than 1,000 door configurations across 13 design collections, covering style, window, and hardware options at varied budget levels. A residential project featuring our commercial-grade glass and metal door line was featured in Midwest Home Magazine, illustrating how the product line extends into high-end residential work.

Commercial Systems & High-Cycle Operators

For commercial projects, we carry the full range of overhead door systems: commercial sectional doors, rolling service doors, and loading dock equipment. Our springless rolling service door operators are rated at 500,000 cycles, 25 times the standard service door cycle life, and are available in three models suited for high-cycle environments, including warehousing, manufacturing, and food and beverage facilities. That performance rating is worth noting in your specification documentation.
